Ghost In The Shell is truly one of the best action games on the PSX. Masamune
Shirow sure made a great PSX debut of the popular anime.

Graphically, Ghost In The Shell shines! It's got great looking polygon
backgrounds which are very detailed, great colorful lighting effects straight
from the effects library of the PSX and game animation which runs smoothly.
Aside from the polygons, the Japanese anime cut scenes are truly the best on the
PSX! The PSX had games that had anime being animated poorly (like the anime
intro of Alundra...Blech!!), but with this game the PSX fought back.

GITS also shines in the audio department. The music's unique to listen to giving
the player that feeling of being in the mission. The music's expressive enough
for each mission. As for the sound FX, GITS sounds very realistic. You're gonna
hear a lot of gun fire and explosions! Try playing this game with your PSX
attached to a stereo surround system, you'll hear what I'm saying. The
voiceovers are very well done in both dubbing and translation.

On Gameplay and FunFactor, GITS plays and enterains very well! Sure enough, you
do a lot of firing but at least this game does not tire the player. The missions
are so detailed with it's briefings, it gives you the feeling of wanting to
accomplish the mission. The missions have different objectives giving the player
the feeling of "new" in it. Check out the mission in which you're riding at high
speed on the water as enemies come close to shoot you. That's one cool mission!

Overall, Ghost In The Shell is the best action game to get on the PSX. I myself
enjoyed this over Tomb Raider 2 (which is not as entertaining as I expected it
to be). The anime's great to watch as you progress through the game's story. One
of the flaws here is that the anime's not long enough for me to watch (I wished
it was at least 35 minutes long), and also the game is not long enough for me to
play (I wished that the game had at least 20 missions). Still despite these
flaws, GITS is worth buying and playing whether you're an anime (or GITS) fan
or not.

GITS is the best action game on the PlayStation, and I want a sequel to this
great game!!
