I'm not sure if I consider alot of these "Greatest Hits" but those are the ones with a retail of $19.99 but if you can find used copies they are much cheaper.

With the fucking bruised knees in the black shirt
Screaming, all right
In the back seat of my bloody hearse
Hanging, all right
On a fucking meat hook in my basement

It's time for everybody to die!

Yes, I agree. I dont even really think they follow any criteria for the list because there is alot of shit. Of course, with a PSX userbase of over 70 million people, to sell 1 million copies should not be that difficult, and it says at IGN that they switched it to 500,000 copies makes the list.

...let's be honest, there's a bunch of garbage in the PSX library in general.

------------------
"Truly, there are more active gamers in the world today than at any other time in the history of our beloved pastime. And while many claim to know what gaming is all about, most have just recently jumped on the bandwagon of the world's most dynamic form of entertainment. Thus, in the new realm of online gaming, 128-bit processors, true 3D graphics, and blazing frame rates, we often find ourselves missing something. Strangely, that "something" can be hard to indentify or describe. The games of today are undoubtly brilliant works of art created through a combination of ridiculously long hours, daily dedication, and teams of highly skilled artists, designers, programmers, and producers, but amid all this advancement, things are sometimes forgotten."

Yeah, really. The PSX library has always been mostly crap.

FF VIII is GH now, so that can't be the most up to date.

Let's be brutally honest: most videogames are crap.

Oh, and guys, both Final Fantasy Tactics and FFVIII are up there.

Better they should have an "Essential Library" line with successful good games and gems that deserve a second chance.

The more games at $20 the better. The GH label is a release. I don't see how you could apply it to great games that are sitting on the shelves. They end up in the bargain bin anyway. The only exception is when the value of the games goes back up again (FF Tactics).
