Old school game that you wish they'd make a sequel for!

That they haven't yet, that is. There aren't many popoular franchises out there without sequels, but mine is probably Kid Icarus. Remember that game? Good times...

(heh, heh...had to f*ck with ya there Shin)

Seriously though, I've been waiting for more then a decade for a sequal to Compile's "Golvellious, Valley of Doom". They even hinted that there would be a sequel at the end of the game.

F*ck hinted...they actually said "To be continued". I've got to find or hear anything about a sequel in the works.

My number 2 pic would most likey be Mystic Defender and third but not least Kenseiden. Arguable THE BEST adventure-role play game on the Master System.

No, I'd much rather have Golden Axe Warrior. It is a spin-off of Golden Axe but the gameplay is like Zelda. I'd like a new Golden Axe Warrior game. That would be a new valuable RPG to the Dreamcast or any system.

Little known fact...

Williams "Blaster" is the sequel to Robotron 2084.

You would have never guessed, since Blaster was one of (if not the) earliest FPS like game and Robotron employed a complete 180 in it's enviromental layout.

Crazy Climber has a sequel to called Crazy Climber 2. I'd sure like to see part 3. Just think what developers could do with this license... pretty up in 3D.

----

Crazy Climber 2

Using two joysticks, the player climbs up the face of high-rise buildings, avoiding closing windows, falling objects, cranes, birds, laundry, gorillas, etc. Reach the top of the building and catch a ride on a helicopter over to next building. Kiss girls leaning out of windows for point step-up bonus.

Crazy Climber 2

I actually played this game at Circus Circus arcade (Las Vegas) when it was “new” way back when.

Bomb Squad. Not because a conversion would bear any real close resemblance to the Intellivision classic, but because I think it's a great concept. You could really mix action with puzzler in a similar way that Diddy Kong Racing mixed cart racer with adventure. Shit, I think I might try making that game myself pretty soon

Double Dragon, but do it similar to the Original Arcade style and make it more gritty.

Actually, there were at least 3 double Dragon games in the arcades.

But since we're on it, the thing that I REALLY liked about the first Double Dragon was the fact that you could "jump" people. You could grab someone from behind and then your partner could beat the sh*t outta them. I don't recall seeing that in any other game since then.

Yeah, that.

There was a sequel to River City Ransom, it was japanese only.

I have it on my HD and it sucks ass, it's a completly different game and it's played like Double Dragon 2. No more square shaped heroes running and smashing tires on bad guys.

Anyone remember Bionic Commando for NES? I'd love to see a modern 2D sequel to that game. Or maybe 3D, I don't know if it is possible to make the game an enjoyable experience in 3D.

With out a doubt, Kid Icarus. I simply can't imagine why Nintendo never followed up on this franchise. It definately had potential to be in the same legue as Metroid or Zelda, but for some reason, they just left it at one game. (A very un-nintendo thing to do!)

I'd at least like to see Pit as a character is a Super Smash Bros Game.

A very rare game for the SNES known as Hillsfar. In it you'd pick locks to steal stuff from buildings. There were tons of classes and side quests.
