Just picked this game up over the weekend. I played through the single player mode for a little bit and it is real nice. I spent most of the time though in the online deathmatch mode. WOW! No lag what so ever, even with 6 people trying to destroy each other. I played for almost 2 hours and didn't have one problem as far as lag went. Does any one else have this game? What do you think?

OFG,

I didn't spend too much time in the co-op mode. Basically what it is more of a team deathmatch. When the team mode is turned on, you can select a team color, then everyone can choose which team to be on. The colors are blue, red, green, and yellow. So it is possible to have some handicapped teams.

There was 1 guy in team match, he was his own team, fighting by himself he was absolutely unstoppable. He was the best I'd encountered. I racked up 12 kills and was in the lead before he got there....5 mins later he had just as many as me. I can't say enough about how much I enjoy this game. Especially the online action.

Yeah, it's next on my list as well. I like space shooters and couldn't wait for this one.

I have been digging this game since the great Wing Commander series. I love space simulations.

I didn't think any game could be better than Colony Wars, but after playing the Star Lancer demo I was wrong.

I intend to get Starlancer as well as SOA & Grandia 2.

scribbler,

There are several camera angles to view from. There are 2 from inside the ship and a few from the outside.

I knew this game was awesome when I played it in the demo. It reminds me of Colony Wars x10. How is the storyline in 1p mode?

And, can Starlancer be played from the inside view, but sans cockpit framing? That could seal the deal for me.

Swirlie,

I haven't played that much of the 1p mode yet. But in a nutshell, the earth has branched out into space, and a group of countries decide they want to rule the system instead of the alliance. It's almost like World War 2...the way the countries are divided up.

Shaolin,

Yes there is an inside view sans the actual cockpit.

I realy enjoy the story line in the game. I don't want to go into detail because I am rather far in the game and don't want to spoil it for anyone else, but it's quite good. http://www.consolecity.com/forum/smile.gif

Most Memorable Simpsons Moment:
Bart: "Dad, why'd you bring me to a gay steel mill?"
Homer: [frightened] "I don't know! This is a NIGHTMARE! YOU'RE ALL SICK!"
Worker: [waving his hand] "Oh be nice!"
Homer: "Oh! My son doesn't stand a chance! The whole world's gone gay! [a whistle goes off] Oh my god! What's happening now?"
Roscoe: "We work hard. We play hard. [pulls a chain]"
["Everybody Dance Now" starts playing]

There is no offline multiplayer mode, just single player mode offline.
